Vinson & Elkins represented FourPoint Resources LLC and Quantum Capital Group which, in partnership with Kayne Anderson Capital Partners, signed a purchase and sale agreement with Ovintiv Inc. (NYSE, TSX: OVV) (“Ovintiv” or the “Company”) to acquire Ovintiv’s Uinta Basin assets for $2.0 billion in cash.
The assets include 126,000 net acres and production of 29 Mbbls/d.
The Vinson & Elkins team was led by partners John Grand, Robert Hughes, Patrick Whelan and counsel Elena Sauber, with assistance from senior associate Victoria Bahrami-Negad, and associates Peter Faour, John Sager, Jessica Rosenwasser, Charlie Fitzpatrick and Janae Wilson.
