Vinson & Elkins’ Dallas office has grown to become one of the largest law offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with more than 150 lawyers providing legal services to a broad spectrum of national and international clients. The Dallas office is home to many of the firm’s key practice groups and offers a full range of client services in transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters.

Our clients include some of the largest companies in Texas and a number of Fortune 1000 companies that span industries like financial services, energy, power, real estate, power, aviation and transportation. Lawyers in the Dallas office are frequently recognized as among the best in their fields in surveys by leading publications such as Chambers USA, Legal 500 U.S., U.S. News – Best Lawyers®, Who’s Who Legal, Benchmark Litigation, and Super Lawyers.

V&E’s commitment to Dallas is reflected in our charitable efforts, pro bono legal services, and community involvement. The Dallas office actively supports a number of local charitable organizations with both time commitments from our lawyers and financial support, including but not limited to Vogel Alcove, a child care center for homeless children; the American Heart Association; Dallas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates); Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy; Business Council for the Arts; Texas Defender Services, leading the fight to end of mass incarceration and excessive punishment in Texas through direct representation, policy reform, and public education; Wesley Rankin Community Center, an organization focused on transforming lives in West Dallas through education, social services, and nurturing of a multigenerational community. In addition, V&E is proud to provide scholarships, internships, and clerkships to deserving high school, college, and law students in the Dallas area.

Pro bono work is an important part of V&E’s culture, and the Dallas office has a number of active pro bono projects. In addition to numerous individual pro bono efforts, the lawyers in the Dallas office have partnered with the Dallas Volunteer Lawyers Program to represent families seeking to obtain guardianship over their incapacitated adult children; Texas Appleseed to represent students in truancy cases and other matters impacting homeless youth; and the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas to represent immigrants in asylum proceedings.

Located in the heart of the city’s arts district, the Dallas office is a committed patron of the arts. The Dallas lawyers serve on boards and committees for museums and performing arts groups and have provided pro bono legal representation to North Texas Public Broadcasting, Inc. (KERA) for many years. The services provided to KERA earned V&E the 2014 Obelisk Award in the Arts Partnership, which recognizes outstanding contributions by businesses or business leaders to North Texas arts and cultural organizations.
