These Terms of Use are entered into by and between you and Vinson & Elkins L.L.P. and its affiliated partnerships, Vinson & Elkins R.L.L.P., and Vinson & Elkins Europe R.L.L.P. (together, “V&E,” “we,” or “us”) and govern your access to and use of our websites such as www.velaw.com (collectively, the “Website”). Please take the time to review these Terms of Use carefully before using the Website. We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use at any time. By using the Website, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Notice.

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal right and ability to agree to these Terms of Use. The Website’s content includes text, images, sounds, videos, insights, press releases, publications, and any other materials displayed (collectively, the “Content”). The Content is intended solely for general informational purposes and should not be considered specific legal advice or a substitute for consulting with qualified counsel. V&E does not endorse, sponsor, or approve of any such third-party information or such third parties and is not responsible for the content of any third-party website. You acknowledge and agree that accessing these third-party websites, your use of such websites, and your use of any information, material, products, or services offered by such sites are solely at your own risk.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and us concerning the subject matter contained herein, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications (whether oral, written or electronic) between you and us. In the event any provision of these Terms of Use is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unlawful, unlawful, or unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. No joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship is intended or exists between you and V&E as a result of these Terms of Use or your access to or use of the Website. There are no third-party beneficiaries, intended or implied, under these Terms of Use.

Our failure to enforce any provisions of these Terms of Use does not waive our right to subsequently enforce any terms or conditions of these Terms of Use.

If you are interested in possible representation by V&E, please contact our Client Services office here or call one of our offices. Providing information on this call will initiate our conflict of interest checking procedure and we will see that you are put in touch with the lawyer best suited to handle your matter. When you sign an engagement letter from that lawyer, you will be our client, and the two of you may exchange information freely.
