Vinson & Elkins holds judicial clerkships in high esteem. In recognition of their value to the firm and our clients, we pay former judicial clerks additional compensation. We also provide them with appropriate salary and partnership class credit if the experience is relevant to their practice area. Every new associate class at Vinson & Elkins includes lawyers who join us after having completed a clerkship in a federal or state supreme court.
As part of our Summer Associate Program, we host judicial clerkship panel presentations in each office. We also provide access to the firm’s online Judicial Clerkship Directory, so that summer associates can connect with our former clerks when considering where to apply for a clerkship.
