David Wicklund, a partner in V&E’s Finance practice group, advises clients on complex acquisition and leveraged financings.

David’s clients include top-tier private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as corporate borrowers, lead arrangers and underwriters in a variety of domestic and cross-border acquisitions. In addition, he advises corporations and underwriters on debt offerings for general corporate purposes. Many of his clients are focused on the oil and gas industry as well as the industrial, infrastructure and technology sectors.

David is experienced in advising on syndicated loans, high-yield bond offerings, reserve-based facilities, asset-based facilities, distressed debt, mezzanine facilities, and direct lending.

  • Maxar Technologies Ltd. (f/k/a MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.), a space technologies company, in connection with financing its acquisition of Digital Globe, Inc., the global leader in Earth imagery, for $3.6 billion

  • AltaGas, Ltd. in connection with financing its acquisition of WGL Holdings, Inc. for $6.4 billion in cash

  • TPG Growth and The Rise Fund in connection with financing their acquisition of CLEAResult

  • TPG Pace Energy Holdings Corp. in connection with financing its acquisition of oil and gas assets within EnerVest’s South Texas Division for approximately $2.66 billion in cash and stock
