Jennifer’s principal areas of practice are federal and state energy regulation and compliance, regulatory and enforcement litigation, and energy transactions. She advises a wide range of clients, including electric utility companies, merchant transmission companies, wholesale power marketing companies, financial institutions, and generation companies in rulemaking, rate, licensing, and enforcement proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. She also assists clients on a variety of transactional, policy, commercial, legislative, and compliance issues.
Experience Highlights
Representing electric utility companies and large end-use customers in contested FERC transmission ratemaking proceedings for both stated and formula rates
Representing electric utility companies and generation owners in proceedings before FERC, regional transmission operators, and other federal agencies concerning wholesale market rules and public policy
Representing an electric generation company, a demand response provider, a power marketing company, and multiple electric utility companies in FERC enforcement proceedings pending either before the agency or in Federal District Court
Representing and advising energy companies and investment companies on potential merger acquisition targets
Advising energy companies on commercial and legislative matters related to the U.S. energy markets
