Infrastructure/Project Development and Finance

  • New Fortress Energy (NFE) in its development and acquisition of a portfolio of domestic and international LNG, thermal power, renewable power and terminal assets, including:

    • The development and construction of the first floating LNG facility to use NFE’s pioneering Fast LNG system, combining existing liquefaction technology with modular, portable, offshore platform technology
    • A series of long-term gas supply agreements with industrial companies and utilities in Brazil, and the development of associated infrastructure
    • The successful bid to operate, maintain, modernize and decommission Puerto Rico’s approximately 3,600 MW of thermal power generation facilities
  • Noble Energy, Inc. as project counsel in the development of the Leviathan natural gas field in offshore Israel, including the development, construction and financing of a 2.1 Bcf/d natural gas production platform and associated subsea and tie-back facilities

  • Texas Central Partners as project counsel in the development of a high speed rail project between Houston and Dallas

  • Gulf Coast Ammonia as project counsel in the development and financing of a world-scale ammonia project in Texas (Proximo’s 2019 North American Petrochemicals Deal of the Year)

  • Tellurian, Inc. in the negotiation of its EPC contracts with Bechtel for the construction of the ~27.5 MMTPA Driftwood LNG Project

  • Major international E&P company in the contracting arrangements for a newbuild FPSO to serve a deepwater development project offshore Angola

  • An international trading and terminal company in the re-activation and expansion of a multimodal crude oil, condensate, and NGL marine terminal facility in the Port of Corpus Christi to serve Eagle Ford shale production

  • Apollo Global Management Inc. in the formation of a joint venture with Johnson Controls to provide sustainability and energy-efficiency facilities and services (including solar power and battery energy storage systems) to North American office and industrial facilities

  • Buckeye Partners in the development of multiple utility scale solar projects, including engineering, procurement, construction, operating and maintenance arrangements

  • A large international energy company in the development of a large-scale solar power project supplying its Permian basin operations

  • SunPower Corporation in connection with contracts for the supply of photovoltaics and associated technology to solar developers in the United States and Australia and the performance of associated O&M services

  • Private developer in the proposed development, financing, and construction of a large-scale compressed air energy storage facility in North Texas

  • Private developer in the proposed development, financing, and construction of a 50,000 barrel per day advanced biofuels facility in Louisiana, utilizing natural gas and biomass to produce drop-in transportation fuels

  • A large international energy company in the formation of a 50/50 joint venture and the development of an ethylene cracker with an estimated capacity of 544,000 metric tons/yr (1.2 billion lbs/year); the project is anticipated to have a capital cost of approximately $1.5 billion

  • Riverstone Investment Group in becoming a 50 percent partner with Kinder Morgan in the Utopia Pipeline Project, a common carrier project that will include approximately 215 miles of new pipeline and will connect with an existing pipeline and associated facilities

  • Woodside Energy Group Ltd in connection with its potential participation in the Port Arthur LNG project

  • Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners in its acquisition of the Red Oak Power Plant, an 805 MW combined cycle, natural gas-fired generation facility

  • ExxonMobil in its investment and joint venture participation in the Golden Pass LNG project

  • Blackstone in connection with its acquisition of a 49.9% interest in the ET Rover Pipeline

  • Velocys plc in a joint venture with Waste Management, NRG Energy, and Ventech Engineers International to develop gas-to-liquids plants in the United States and other select geographies
