Lindsey’s primary area of practice is Complex Commercial Litigation. Her practice focuses on litigation arising from shareholder and contract disputes. She also has experience representing officers and directors in both government and internal investigations.
Lindsey serves as a co-lead for the Recruiting Subcommittee of the Firm’s LGBTQ+ Alliance.
Experience Highlights
(S.D. Tex.) — Defended retailer and certain of its officers in federal securities class action and derivative lawsuits in Texas federal court alleging violations of Section 10(b) of the Securities Exchange Act arising from restated financials
Member of trial team that obtained take-nothing judgment in arbitration alleging audit malpractice against accounting firm
Member of trial team arguing before Delaware Supreme Court about the dismissal of shareholder suit alleging breach of a public partnership agreement’s safe harbor provisions
Represented aerosystems manufacturer in connection with internal investigation into accounting issues
Conducted internal investigation of private equity firm related to potential accounting and compliance issues
(5th Cir.) – Obtained favorable Fifth Circuit opinion on behalf of asylum seeker from Eritrea granting panel rehearing and remanding to the Board of Immigration Appeals for further proceedings
Worked with Lambda Legal and Immigration Equality to secure release by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement of two HIV+ asylum seekers in light of COVID-19 emergency
