Vinson & Elkins Advises L3Harris on $845 Million Sale of Space Propulsion and Power Systems Business to AE Industrial Partners

Vinson & Elkins LLP advised L3Harris Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: LHX) in the proposed sale of a controlling interest in L3Harris’ Space Propulsion and Power Systems business to AE Industrial Partners at a total enterprise value of $845 million.

Transaction closing is expected in the second half of 2026, subject to obtaining regulatory approvals and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions. L3Harris will retain an approximately 40% ownership stake in the new space technology business with AE Industrial. L3Harris is the Trusted Disruptor in defense tech. With customers’ mission-critical needs always in mind, their employees deliver end-to-end technology solutions connecting the space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains in the interest of national security. AE Industrial Partners is a private investment firm with $7.5 billion of assets under management as of September 30, 2025, focused on investing in technologies and services considered critical to national & economic security.
