Vinson & Elkins is advising Intersect in connection with the development of the Meitner Energy Center for Google. Located in Gray and Roberts Counties, Texas, the project includes a data center co-located with more than a gigawatt of wind, solar, and battery storage systems. The Google data center will come online alongside dedicated power that will help meet its demand while reducing the need for new power supply on the local grid. The majority of the site’s power will come from clean energy, with a minority share of the site’s demand met by firming on-site gas to ensure reliable operations.
