Vinson & Elkins is representing Lazard as lead financial advisor, and Bank of America as financial advisor, to NextEra Energy, Inc. in connection with its definitive agreement to combine with Dominion Energy, Inc. in an all-stock transaction. The transaction will create the world’s largest regulated electric utility business and North America’s premier energy infrastructure platform, with an enterprise value of approximately $420 billion and a market capitalization of approximately $249 billion. The transaction was announced on May 18, 2026.
The Vinson & Elkins team was led by Partners Lande Spottswood and Sebastian Tiller, with assistance from Senior Associate Chase Browndorf and Associates Mimi Dyke, Hannah Avery, and Chandni Jaggi.
