Vinson & Elkins advised Southern Realty Trust Inc. in connection with its entry into a definitive merger agreement with Sunrise Realty Trust, Inc., pursuant to which Sunrise will acquire Southern Realty Trust through the merger of Southern Realty Trust with and into a wholly owned subsidiary of Sunrise. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
The Vinson & Elkins corporate team was led by Partners Greg Cope and Zach Swartz and Senior Associate Bekah Briggs, with assistance from Associate Selena Govan and Senior Staff Attorney Ashton Harris.
