Texas Lawyer has named Vinson & Elkins Partner Robert Hughes a Rising Star in its 2026 Texas Legal Awards, recognizing the state’s most accomplished attorneys age 40 and under.
Winners were selected by Texas Lawyer editors based on their career accomplishments in their respective disciplines.
Hughes advises private equity firms, portfolio companies, and a variety of public and private businesses on a range of strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, structured financings, and joint ventures. His practice spans multiple industries, including energy, infrastructure, renewables, telecommunications, and technology.
