Vinson & Elkins advised Fermi Inc., which today announced that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has granted final approval for the nation’s second largest air quality permit for 6 gigawatts (GW) of natural gas-based power generation at Fermi’s 11 GW Project Matador data center campus near Amarillo, Texas.
The Vinson & Elkins team was led by Partner Jon Niermann and Senior Partner Eric Groten.
“Fermi understands that America’s AI leadership is about scale. Vinson & Elkins is proud to have contributed to this significant step toward the buildout of Fermi’s 11 GW Project Matador campus,” said Niermann.
