Vinson & Elkins Expands Transactions Practice with Addition of London-Based Tax Partner Ed Moberly

Moberly has significant experience providing tax counsel to clients in connection with M&A and capital markets transactions.

Vinson & Elkins today announced that Ed Moberly has joined as a Tax partner in the firm’s London office, further expanding the firm’s global Transactions platform and addressing increasing demand for integrated tax support in complex cross‑border deals.

Moberly is a transactions-focused tax lawyer with significant experience advising clients on private equity, M&A, joint ventures, fund formations, restructurings and complex financings, as well as selected contentious tax matters and investigations. He has advised on many multi-billion euro investments across industries including digital infrastructure, energy, mobile gaming, retail, sports, consumer products and health care.

His background includes senior roles at leading global law firms as well as in‑house experience on secondment at one of the world’s largest private equity firms, KKR. This combination gives him valuable insight into deal strategy, investment structuring and the commercial drivers behind complex transactions.
