Vinson & Elkins advised NGP Energy Capital Management, LLC (“NGP”) in an equity investment in Greenlake Energy Holdings II, LLC (“Greenlake”), a newly formed company focused on upstream oil and gas opportunities.
The management team of Greenlake is led by Matt Gallagher, who previously served as the President and CEO of Parsley Energy, Inc. prior to their acquisition by Pioneer Natural Resources Company in 2021. NGP previously backed the Greenlake management team in 2021.
The Vinson & Elkins team was led by partner Matt Strock and senior associate David Lassetter, with assistance from associates Michelle Yang and Joshua Payne. Other key team members included partners David Peck and Brian Russell and associate Kathryn Fish; partner Joo Hyun Lee and associate Madeline O’Neill.
