Vinson & Elkins Adds Corporate Partner Kirsten Harmon

Harmon is an experienced capital markets lawyer who focuses on public equity and debt transactions.

Vinson & Elkins today announced that Kirsten Harmon has joined the firm as a New York-based partner in its Corporate practice.

Harmon represents issuers, financial sponsors, and investment banks in a broad range of capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), high-yield debt, and equity and equity-linked securities offerings. She also advises private and public companies on corporate governance, securities law, and other strategic matters. Her practice spans the company life cycle, from early stage to public offerings, and she has deep experience in numerous industries including technology, infrastructure, industrials, aerospace and defense, and healthcare.

Fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese, Harmon also has extensive experience handling transactions in Latin America.

Harmon earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a Global Law Scholar. She has also been a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Committee since 2023.
