Vinson & Elkins Expands Aviation Finance Offering with Partner Hire in London

Vinson & Elkins announced today that Harry Upcott has joined the firm as a partner in its Finance practice, based in London. His arrival supports the continued expansion of the firm’s global aviation finance capabilities.

Upcott advises financial institutions, lessors, private equity sponsors, operators, and airlines on complex financing, leasing, and M&A transactions in the aviation and satellite sectors. He has particular experience in advising on innovative, transformational, and high-value transactions and is known for providing commercially focused pragmatic advice to clients navigating these evolving markets.

Upcott joins the firm shortly after the opening of Vinson & Elkins’ office in Dublin’s city centre, a key milestone in the continued expansion of the firm’s aviation finance capabilities. The firm’s global aviation finance team spans Dublin, London, and New York, making it a standout in the market. With lawyers qualified in New York and England & Wales located in each of those offices, the team works collaboratively to advise clients on complex cross-border transactions across the aviation industry.
