Vinson & Elkins represented Sunoco LP (NYSE: SUN) (“Sunoco”) in its entry into a definitive agreement with Parkland Corporation (TSX: PKI) (“Parkland”) whereby Sunoco will acquire all outstanding shares of Parkland in a cash and equity transaction valued at approximately $9.1 billion, including assumed debt.
The Vinson & Elkins team was led by partners Lande Spottswood, Ramey Layne, Jackson O’Maley, Ben Heriaud, and Caitlin Turner, with assistance from senior associate Layton Suchma and associates Walt Baker, Michelle Yang, Patience Li, Rachel Campbell, and Ethan Twining. Other key team members include counsel Maya Bobbitt and associates Cam Viney and Sara Johnson; partners Ryan Carney and Gary Huffman, senior associate Dan Henderson, and associate Tripp Haskins.
