Vinson & Elkins partner Lande Spottswood has been named to The Deal’s list of Top Women in Dealmaking 2023.
The list honors exemplary women in the legal profession who have displayed excellence in their respective legal fields including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, restructuring and activist investing.
Based in Vinson & Elkins’ Houston office, Spottswood serves as the firm’s lead partner for recruiting and a deputy practice group leader of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets group. She focuses her practice on large and complex strategic transactions, often in the energy, energy transition, infrastructure and industrial sectors.
Her clients include Fortune 500 companies and many of the world’s leading private equity firms. Spottswood has advised participants on transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $400 billion, including more than 40 public company mergers or change-of-control transactions and many of the largest transactions in the energy industry over the past decade.
