The Energy Bar Association has named Vinson & Elkins senior associate Andrew DeVore a 2024 Rising Star in Energy, an award given to lawyers in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the energy bar early in their careers.
Recipients must have no more than 10 years of experience as an attorney or energy professional and must have been a member of the Energy Bar Association (EBA) for at least two years, including time as a student member. They should demonstrate a substantial commitment to energy law through their work and support EBA’s mission and core values, including its diversity and inclusion policy and pro bono efforts.
Andrew represents energy companies in transactional and regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including gas-fired and renewable generation, wholesale electricity markets, asset transactions, and compliance with federal acts. Vinson & Elkins’ energy regulatory helps clients navigate the complex legal landscape governing the oil, gas, and electric sectors. Vinson & Elkins is nationally recognized as Band 1 for Chambers in the Energy & Gas Regulatory category and Tier 1 for Legal 500 in the Energy Regulation: Oil & Gas category.
