Alex Canizares offered an update on Department of Justice Civil False Claims Act enforcement priorities, noting that “$6.8 billion went into the government from FCA cases in the last fiscal year. That is the highest amount in history of the FCA.” Nearly 1,300 qui tam cases filed in the 2025 fiscal year, another record. The DOJ has already received more than 780 qui tam complaints in 2026.
