Overview

Based in Brussels, May Lyn leads the European competition law practice. She advises on multi-jurisdictional transactions and complex competition matters, with deep experience designing and executing global merger control strategies. She regularly coordinates clearance efforts across multiple authorities, partnering closely with local counsel to secure efficient and timely approvals.

She also represents clients in cartel and antitrust investigations brought by the European Commission and other competition authorities, including the UK Competition and Markets Authority. Her recent work includes advising on preliminary and in-depth investigations under the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), advocating for international businesses as they navigate the EU’s expanding regulatory landscape while investing and growing in the region. Beyond enforcement, May Lyn regularly counsels on distribution issues and competitor collaborations, including in relation to the intersection between antitrust and ESG, standard-setting initiatives, data-gathering and information exchange.
