The Supreme Court of the United States (“SCOTUS”) has overturned the tariffs imposed by the Trump Administration under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act but did not decide on tariff refunds. As the world awaits clarity on refunds, V&E attorneys Joyce Adetutu, Stephen Josey, and Adam Kleven will provide an overview of the SCOTUS decision, detail how a potential refund process might play out with Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Court of International Trade, and discuss potential tariff mitigation strategies as the Trump Administration now must rely on other tariff authorities to advance its trade agenda.
