“Loren is fantastic. He has a wealth of experience, offers sound advice and helps us navigate lots of twists and turns.” (Chambers USA, 2026)
Head of the firm’s Structured Finance and Securitization practice, Loren Finegold advises companies, sponsors, financial institutions, private credit funds and investors on complex financing and capital solutions, with a particular focus on energy, digital infrastructure and other esoteric asset classes.
A significant focus of Loren’s practice is applying structured finance techniques to assets and businesses that have historically relied on more traditional sources of capital. He has been at the forefront of the development of new securitization markets. His experience includes pioneering the first securitizations of midstream oil and gas assets, the first master trust securitization of proven developed producing (PDP) oil and gas wells and the first securitizations of hyperscale and colocation data centers, wireless tower ground leases and earned wage access receivables. His experience also includes structured investments in growth-stage technology companies, sponsor investments in distressed portfolio companies and performing and distressed portfolio acquisitions.
Drawing on nearly three decades of experience across asset classes and market cycles, Loren helps clients evaluate structured finance alongside more traditional sources of capital and develop financing and investment solutions tailored to their assets, businesses and strategic objectives. His practice frequently involves transactions that cross traditional product and practice-area boundaries, allowing him to bring a broad financing perspective to novel and complex situations.
