Angus is an International Construction Disputes Partner in our London office. He has experience in advising clients in relation to major disputes arising globally in a number of industries, including power generation, mining, petrochemical and other process plants, shipbuilding, airports and other infrastructure.
Having lived and worked in Japan, and with experience as General Counsel within a major heavy industries contractor, Angus has a strong focus on serving the firm’s growing client base in Asia and deep experience of power projects in all phases of their life cycle.
Angus’s work on projects has spanned Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He also maintains a keen interest in the Africa region, supporting new infrastructure projects there and sitting on the advisory board of Africa Construction Law.

Advising the shipbuilder in relation to a dispute in West Africa arising from disputed variations/changes during construction of a deep-water drillship
Advising the manufacturer of mechanical equipment in relation to an incident aboard a deep-water drillship
Advising an EPCM contractor in disputes arising in the development of a major airport project in the Middle East
Advising a machinery/heavy equipment supplier on alleged defects in gas turbine and steam turbine equipment in the Middle East
Advising an EPC Contractor consortium on claims arising from the construction of a new gas-fired power plant in the Middle East
Advising an EPC contractor on criminal prosecutions in local courts during project execution in Africa
