Chief Financial Officer
Charyn serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Vinson & Elkins, bringing more than 20 years of strategic and operational finance leadership, predominantly within law firm environments and the Big Four firm Deloitte LLP. She joined Vinson & Elkins in 2022 as Global Director of Finance and Accounting and was appointed to the position of CFO in September 2022.
Throughout her career, Charyn has played an important role in advising organizations on improving their financial and business operations. Charyn’s experiences created opportunities for her involvement the last decade in implementing key systems for automated payment processing, budgeting, and forecasting. Her success has been marked by her leadership enhancing financial operations through automation and data management, as well as improving time management, forecasting, and cross-functional systems. Charyn excels at leading initiatives that help improve strategic business partnerships, drive growth strategies, and help to transform and unify financial operations.
Charyn holds a Master of Science in Taxation and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, both from Northern Illinois University.
