Clean Energy Transactions
Affiliates of Global Infrastructure Partners in the acquisition of a 50 percent interest in the multi-billion dollar South Fork and Revolution Offshore Wind Projects off the East coast of the United States from Eversource Energy, including the negotiation of the joint venture arrangements with Orsted for the construction and operation of the projects and all financing arrangements (IJInvestor Joint Venture of the Year, 2024)
Stonepeak in its approximately $3 billion acquisition of a 50% interest in the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project, which at 2.6 GW is expected to be the largest offshore wind project in the U.S. and one of the largest offshore wind projects globally upon completion (Proximo North America Offshore Wind Deal of the Year, 2024) (Project Finance International Americas Deal of the Year, 2024)
Talen Energy Corporation (NASDAQ: TLN) on its 1,920 MW power purchase agreement and associated arrangements with Amazon Web Services to provide carbon-free energy from Talen’s Susquehanna nuclear power plant to support AMZN’s announced $20 plus billion dollar data center build out in Pennsylvania
Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. in connection with a preferred equity commitment to Origis USA (a portfolio company of Antin Infrastructure Partners)
MN8 Energy in the (i) acquisition from Recurrent Energy (ii) project development, (iii) construction and term debt financing, and (iv) tax equity financing of a 300MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plus 140.25MW/561MWh storage project in California; which will sell power pursuant to 5 separate power purchase agreements, 4 of which include energy storage
Nabors Energy Transition Corp. II in its $305 million initial public offering
Stonepeak in the approximately $300 million acquisition of an interest in a portfolio of four U.S. onshore wind projects with a total capacity of 957 MW from Ørsted, including the financing for the consummation of the acquisition
Brookfield Renewable Power in the approximately $1 billion acquisition of Scout Clean Energy from Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners
Enbridge (US) Inc. in its $1.2 billion acquisition of seven operating U.S. landfill gas-to-renewable natural gas facilities in Texas and Arkansas from Morrow Renewables
Vitol Inc. in the $235 million sale of certain of its interests in Big Sky Wind, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company that owns an approximately 240MW wind farm in Illinois
Swift Current Energy in the ~$700 million debt financing, ~$250 million tax equity financing, and ~$270 million ITC transfers for the 800 MWdc Double Black Diamond Solar project in Illinois, which is expected to be the second largest single phase solar project in the US and the largest solar project in MISO
Archaea Energy, an industry-leading RNG producer, in a joint venture with Republic Services Inc., a leader in the environmental services industry, to contribute approximately $1.1 billion over five years in order to develop 39 landfill gas to RNG projects across the U.S.
Encore Redevelopment, LLC in the aggregate $389 million tax equity and preferred equity financing and construction, term loan and development debt financing, each provided by Brookfield, through its infrastructure debt platform, of a portfolio of approximately 100.843 MWdc of solar generating facilities and 6.993 MWac energy storage facilities

8 Rivers Capital in its joint venture with The Southern Ute Indian Tribe Growth Fund to develop the 280 MW Coyote Clean Power Project in Colorado, one of the world’s first zero-emissions NET Power natural gas-fired power plants, including CO2 capture and storage capabilities
NALA Renewables and Buckeye Partners in connection with the acquisition of and joint venture structuring for, the Swift Current Energy portfolio, a US portfolio of development wind and solar assets in excess of 10GW, including the construction and term financing and tax equity investments in the portfolio assets
Goldman Sachs’ Alternative Energy Investing Group in the formation of a joint venture with TELOS Clean Energy to develop, construct, own, and operate distributed solar power projects
Global Atlantic Financial Group in the $1.175 billion acquisition from Southern Power of a 33 percent minority interest in its solar portfolio (comprised of 26 operating solar facilities representing approximately 1.7 gigawatts of capacity)
