Todd advises clients on the tax aspects of complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, partnership and other joint venture arrangements, project development, and capital markets and private financing transactions. During his nearly 20-year career at Vinson & Elkins, he has worked extensively within a variety of industries, including natural resources (upstream and midstream), renewable power generation and storage, real estate, and technology. In addition, Todd has represented numerous private equity funds and other pooled investment vehicles in connection with capital formations, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Blackstone Credit and ClearGen, a Blackstone Credit portfolio company, in the formation of a strategic partnership between ClearGen and GreenStruxure, a Schneider Electric and Huck Capital joint venture, to develop, own and operate up to $500 million of renewable energy microgrid systems for C&I customers
Continental Resources in its $250 million strategic investment in Summit Carbon Solutions to fund the development and construction of carbon capture, transportation and sequestration infrastructure located in the Midwestern United States with initial capacity of up to 12.0 MMtpa and expansion capabilities up to 20.0 MMtpa
Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners in the acquisition of Glidepath Power, a developer of battery storage and renewable energy projects
