Michael Marek

Mike focuses his practice on corporate and securities transactions, as well as general corporate matters. He works with private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and a variety of other public and private companies in connection with mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and other strategic transactions. Mike has also assisted issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities.

  • Omega Protein in its $500 million sale to Cooke, a global seafood company based in Canada

  • Greenfield Midstream in a $300 million line of equity commitment to the company, focused on midstream infrastructure across North America, from EnCap Flatrock Midstream

  • Upstream-focused portfolio company in a $300 million line of equity commitment by an energy-focused private equity fund

  • C&J Energy Services in its $265 million acquisition of O-Tex Holdings, a White Deer Energy portfolio company and provider of oilfield cementing services

  • Bluescape Energy Partners in the $40 million preferred investment in Riley Exploration – Permian, a Yorktown Partners portfolio company

  • Clearlake Capital Partners in connection with the restructuring and financing facilities of Knight Energy Holdings

  • Blackstone in its $1.57 billion acquisition of an interest in the Rover pipeline project from a subsidiary of Energy Transfer Partners
