Jessica Crow

Jessica is a Senior Associate in the firm’s International Dispute Resolution practice group.

Jessica’s practice focuses on international commercial arbitration, investment treaty disputes and public international law. She acts as counsel to multinational corporations, States and State-owned entities across a wide range of industry sectors, with particular focus on energy, construction and commercial disputes. Jessica’s experience includes arbitrations under all of the major institutional rules, as well as ad hoc arbitration under the UNCITRAL Rules. Jessica also has experience in-house, having worked at a leading EPC company focused on oil and gas projects. Jessica serves on the board of the Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners.

Experience Highlights

  • Acting for a leading European oil and gas contractor against a national energy company in an ICC arbitration in London in relation to a cancelled pipeline project

  • Acting for a Middle-Eastern EPC contractor in the energy sector in LCIA proceedings in London arising out of a breach of contract for services in the development of a large scale pilot project for the production and export of heavy oil

  • Acting for a French-German consortium in an ICC arbitration in Stockholm against a Finnish utility company in relation to a dispute arising from an agreement for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Finland

  • Acting for thirteen financial investment companies and two individuals as claimants in ICC arbitration proceedings arising out of the revision and breach of a settlement agreement in relation to a substantial telecommunications operation in Brazil

  • Acting for three European chemical companies in an ICC arbitration in Geneva against the European subsidiaries of a large North American chemical group in an intellectual property dispute arising out of a joint venture agreement

  • Acting for a North African contractor in an OHADA arbitration against a North African investment fund concerning the proper operation of a political force majeure clause due to the 1999 Ivorian coup d’état

  • Acting for a Middle East state in a dispute brought under the UAE-Egypt Bilateral Investment Treaty for claims relating to land for real estate development in Egypt

  • Acting for a leading contractor in the oil and gas industry in a dispute regarding variations and prolongation in relation to the supply of two vessels
