Jeremy is a litigator who represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of business disputes. His areas of practice include commercial, shareholder, bankruptcy, and appellate litigation, representing plaintiffs and defendants in lawsuits stemming from allegations of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, theft, conspiracy, and related claims. Jeremy also serves on V&E’s Dallas Recruiting Committee, and he maintains an active docket of pro bono matters.

Experience Highlights
(Del. Ch.) – Representing public pharmaceutical company in lawsuit alleging breach of fiduciary duty
(Tex. Dist. – Dallas Cnty.) – Representing various investment and charitable entities in litigation and negotiations seeking recovery of over $47 million in embezzled funds
(Tex. Dist. – Fort Bend Cnty.) – Obtained favorable settlement on behalf of bank in lender liability lawsuit based on embezzlement by bank customer’s employee
(Tex. Dist. – Bexar Cnty.) – Obtained favorable settlement on behalf of national law firm in professional liability lawsuit filed by physician and affiliated companies
(Bankr. S.D. Tex.) – Along with members of V&E’s Restructuring and Reorganization team, represented energy company in an in-court sale process in which substantially all of the company’s operating assets were sold as part of its chapter 11 cases involving approximately $400 million in total liabilities
(Bankr. N.D. Tex.) – Along with members of V&E’s Restructuring and Reorganization team, represented energy company and its subsidiaries in a chapter 11 sale process in which substantially all of the company’s operating assets were sold pursuant to a prepackaged chapter 11 plan
(5th Cir.) – Obtained grant of rehearing and reversal of a Board of Immigration Appeals decision denying asylum and withholding of removal
(5th Cir.) – Drafted amicus brief on behalf of 42 former Immigration Judges and former members of the Board of Immigration Appeals arguing that a mentally ill asylum applicant was denied due process
