As Co-Head of V&E’s Global Finance practice, Erec Winandy leads a skilled and experienced team that prides itself on providing commercial and creative solutions for even the most complex deals, including acquisition and leveraged finance, asset-based lending and reserve-based lending, subscription-backed lending, and structured finance.
A finance attorney for two decades, Erec has extensive experience in all aspects of the energy and natural resources industry including oil and gas exploration and production, renewables and clean energy, oilfield services, midstream, including storage and transportation, and refining. In addition to energy, Erec works on asset-based lending deals in the retail and manufacturing space.
Erec has represented lead arrangers, corporate borrowers and private equity funds in U.S. domestic and international syndicated loan transactions, including extensive involvement in secured and unsecured credits, senior and subordinate lending, restructure/workout financings, debtor-in-possession facilities and complex intercreditor arrangements.
Erec’s work has earned him recognition in multiple publications. The Best Lawyers of America, named him “Lawyer of the Year” in Banking and Finance Law in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2019. In Chambers USA, he was praised as a “very active and well informed” attorney who “can speak with authority.” (2019)
