With one of the largest restructuring and reorganization practices in Texas, Vinson & Elkins has successfully represented debtors, court-appointed bankruptcy trustees, lender groups, ad hoc creditor committees, official creditor committees, secured and unsecured creditors, and liquidation/litigation trustees in bankruptcy courts throughout Texas and all across the country. V&E’s Restructuring & Reorganization team frequently works alongside V&E litigators and appellate lawyers in complex litigation matters arising in or relating to bankruptcy cases.

In addition to deep experience representing debtors in all aspects of their bankruptcy cases and the representation of court-appointed trustees, including litigation relating to or arising from bankruptcy cases and appeals before various federal district courts and circuit courts of appeal, the Restructuring & Reorganization team’s litigation experience also extends to the representation of liquidation and litigation trustees bringing estate causes of action, the representation of defendants in fraudulent transfer and preference litigation, the commencement of state or federal receiverships on behalf of clients, and the representation of clients relating to ancillary proceedings to foreign insolvency proceedings and cross-border insolvency cases.
