The online application for Vinson & Elkins’ 2023 Summer Associate Program opens November 1 for first-year U.S. law students (class of 2025). Students should apply here as soon as possible before the end of the year, and are also encouraged to indicate interest in the firm’s Diversity Fellowship within the application.
Students should submit applications for their city of choice in our Austin, Dallas, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. offices. First-semester grades are not required immediately upon application.
$25,000 Diversity Fellowships: Applicants for V&E’s Summer Associate Program may also apply for the firm’s 1L Diversity Fellowship by submitting a diversity statement through the same online portal. V&E’s Diversity Fellowship application is open to all 1Ls, and awarded students receive $25,000 and a clerkship at one of V&E’s offices for the summer of 2023. Summer Associate Opportunities: V&E Summer Associates do substantive work in a variety of practice areas, have direct client contact, and work alongside accomplished attorneys who care about their success. A variety of social, community, and pro bono activities give V&E summer associates opportunities to get to know their colleagues in a relaxed environment. The 10-week program for 2023 is from May 15-July 21.
