American Lawyer Names Matt Falcone Among Top Young Corporate Lawyers in 2025
Vinson & Elkins partner Matt Falcone has been named a finalist for The American Lawyer’s 2025 Young Corporate Lawyer of The Year Award.
The American Lawyer’s Industry Awards celebrate the year’s most impactful legal work, recognizing excellence across various categories.
A partner in Vinson & Elkins’ Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practices, Falcone has built a reputation advising private equity firms, financial sponsors, and public and private companies on complex strategic transactions. Focused on the energy and infrastructure sectors, his work spans mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and structured financings.
Some of his recent notable matters includes representing Stonepeak in its acquisition of a 50% interest the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project. He also advised Stonepeak in its $340 million acquisition from Repsol of a 46.3% interest in a 777 MW portfolio of operating solar and battery storage projects.
