Vinson & Elkins Partner Michael Joyce will moderate a panel discussion for The Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) membership alongside Averill Conn, Associate General Counsel of Vitol and Anand Dandapani, Executive Director / Energy Investments at JPMorgan. The panelists will discuss the emerging market for the purchase and sale of tax credits derived from renewable energy projects following the passage in August of 2022 of the Inflation Reduction Act.

The Inflation Reduction Act allowed, for the first time, the ability of tax credit generators to transfer tax credits to a third party. Ms. Conn will speak from the perspective and experience of Vitol, as a purchaser of tax credits, and Mr. Dandapani will speak from the perspective of JPMorgan, as a seller of tax credits.
