Dan Komarek focuses his practice on counseling private equity firms and their portfolio companies on the full life cycle of deals.

Dan is highly experienced in advising on strategic investments, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions and divestitures. His clients include some of the largest and most active private equity firms in the world. Dan also counsels private and public companies on general corporate matters.

In addition to his active client work, Dan serves as the hiring partner for V&E’s New York office.

  • Chisholm Oil and Gas in its strategic combination with Gastar Exploration to create a leading STACK E&P company
  • Riverstone Investment Group in becoming a 50 percent partner with Kinder Morgan in the Utopia Pipeline Project, a common carrier project that will include approximately 215 miles of new pipeline and will connect with an existing pipeline and associated facilities
  • Double Eagle Energy Permian in its $2.8 billion sale of certain undeveloped acreage and producing oil and gas properties in the core of the Midland Basin to Parsley Energy
  • Pegasus Optimization Managers in a definitive agreement whereby EQT Infrastructure portfolio company Kodiak Gas Services acquired Pegasus
  • Salt Fork Resources, a portfolio company of Riverstone Holdings, in the sale of natural gas and oil properties to Ascent Resources and cash contribution by Riverstone to Ascent
  • Double Eagle Energy Permian, a portfolio company of Apollo Natural Resources Partners Funds I and II, in a $450 million investment in the company of equity and delayed draw unsecured debt capital by Magnetar Capital
