Stephanie H. Coco Associate, Energy Transactions & Projects

Stephanie practices in the areas of project development, mergers and acquisitions, complex structured transactions and joint ventures. She has experience in multiple sectors of the energy industry, including upstream, pipelines, LNG, downstream and chemicals, and power generation (including renewables). Stephanie has broad experience with project and infrastructure construction and development.

Experience Highlights

  • Noble Energy, Inc. as project counsel in the development of the Leviathan natural gas field in offshore Israel, including the development, construction and financing of a 2.1 Bcf/d natural gas production platform and associated subsea and tie-back facilities
  • Blackstone in connection with financing its acquisition of a 49.9% interest in ET Rover Pipeline for approximately $1.57 billion in cash
  • Gulf Coast Ammonia (a joint venture of Agrifos, Borealis and Macquarie) as project counsel in the development and financing of a world-scale ammonia project in Texas 
  • Texas Central Partners as project counsel in the development of a high speed rail project between Houston and Dallas 

Project Development & Construction

  • US independent in connection with offshore development arrangements for a multi-billion dollar project in Ghana 
  • A large international energy company in the development and construction of a variety of infrastructure projects, including domestically, internationally, offshore and onshore
  • SunPower Corporation in the negotiation of supply agreements with an EPC Contractor for a 110MW solar project 


  • TPG Sixth Street Partners in a range of transactions, including multiple acquisitions of wind assets 
  • Global Atlantic Financial Group in the $1.175 billion acquisition from Southern Power of a 33 percent minority interest in its solar portfolio (comprised of 26 operating solar facilities representing approximately 1.7 gigawatts of capacity)
  • An investment banking firm in its investment in three wind projects, operational matters in connection therewith and the subsequent sale of the same

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • TPG Capital and TPG Growth on a range of energy transactions, including TPG Growth on its acquisition of Discovery Midstream, a Dallas-based provider of oil and natural gas gathering and natural gas processing services in the southern portion of Colorado’s Denver-Julesburg Basin
  • Chisholm Energy Holding on the acquisition of its first asset located in New Mexico 
  • Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners in its acquisition of the Red Oak Power Plant, an 805 MW combined cycle, natural gas-fired generation facility, from Cogentrix, an affiliate of the Carlyle Group
