Our practice group is cross-disciplinary and international, led by senior members of our Environmental/Regulatory, Litigation, Transactional, Intellectual Property, and Occupational Safety and Health practice groups. Our intellectual property (IP) practice group has served various oil and gas clients in connection with intellectual property issues and hydraulic fracturing technologies. We have experienced attorneys with a broad array of scientific and technical backgrounds associated with hydraulic fracturing who can assist our clients in identifying IP protection available for their hydraulic fracturing technologies, as well as minimizing IP risks in connection with hydraulic fracturing.

Lawyers in our OSH practice have represented oil field drilling and service companies on OSHA investigations and following accidents. We have a crisis response team that quickly responds to incidents in the field. We publish information on OSHA practices including emphasis programs that have concentrated on the oil field and on specific issues, such as OSHA’s rules on silica, to help our clients stay ahead of the ever growing supply of OSH regulations that impact the shale oil industry.
