Kylie is an associate in the Complex Commercial Litigation practice group, whose focus includes International Dispute Resolution & Arbitration. She has worked on both international arbitration and domestic litigation matters, including commercial, investor-state, state-to-state, and construction disputes under the rules of the ICC, ICSID, and the AAA. The substantive laws have included the laws of Texas, Delaware, Colorado, Iraq, and public international law.
Kylie’s international dispute resolution experience involves drafting pleadings, managing disclosure under international arbitration rules, and assisting at hearings. In domestic disputes, Kylie has handled discovery and production, drafted motions and initial pleadings, assisted at trial, and argued a motion to dismiss for forum non conveniens. Her experience in court includes representing large corporations in commercial disputes in Texas and Colorado state courts.
In 2023, Kylie spent 10 months in Vinson & Elkins’ Dubai Office, where she worked on a range of construction and energy disputes in the Middle East.

Experience Highlights
Representing a Middle Eastern state in an ICC arbitration against another state involving breaches of contract and breaches of a treaty between the two states; the case also involves ancillary proceedings in different jurisdictions
Representing a refineries company based in Iraq in a series of claims by an Italian company who contracted to design, engineer, supply, install and commission a Hydrogen Plant in Iraq
Representing a Middle Eastern state-owned entity in an ICC arbitration against a Dutch salvage contractor involving breaches of contract
Conduct of ICC arbitration (Geneva Seat) on behalf of a JV arising out of Middle Eastern petrochemical project. The value of the dispute is at $250m+ and covers a wide range of delay and disruption claims, together with over 400 smaller value additional cost claims and back charges
(Colo. Dist. – Denver Cnty.) — Obtained one of the largest Colorado state court judgments on record – $241 million – on behalf of an energy company
Advised a broker-dealer investment group with respect to claims made and arbitration initiated by a past managing director who alleged that his termination of employment violated anti-retaliation and anti-discrimination law
Representing an international exploration and production company relating to interests under a joint venture in West Africa
Defending officers and directors of alternative energy production company in putative securities class action under Section 10(b) of the Exchange Act
Representing an American company and its Latin American subsidiary in two multimillion dollar arbitrations under New York law related to the construction of five power plants in South America
Defended a Texas-based engineering and construction company by securing a forum non conveniens dismissal, successfully demonstrating that the case belonged in a more appropriate foreign jurisdiction
(Colo. App.) – Obtained affirmance of one of the largest Colorado state court judgments on record ($215 million) on behalf of an energy company in a case in which the lower court found the defendant fraudulently induced our client into signing an agreement for the design and construction of a water treatment facility, and that the defendant breached that agreement
