Alex is an associate in the London Corporate practice. He has advisory and transactional experience in project development, project finance, cross border M&A, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts and general corporate work. Alex’s work has primarily been in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including experience in energy transition matters involving clean ammonia, low-carbon hydrogen and offshore wind.

Stonepeak in its approximately $3 billion acquisition of a 50% interest in the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project, which at 2.6 GW is expected to be the largest offshore wind project in the U.S. and one of the largest offshore wind projects globally upon completion (Proximo North America Offshore Wind Deal of the Year, 2024) (Project Finance International Americas Deal of the Year, 2024)
Affiliates of Global Infrastructure Partners in the acquisition of a 50 percent interest in the multi-billion dollar South Fork and Revolution Offshore Wind Projects off the East coast of the United States from Eversource Energy, including the negotiation of the joint venture arrangements with Orsted for the construction and operation of the projects and all financing arrangements (IJInvestor Joint Venture of the Year, 2024)
STAR Rafineri A.Ş. a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and its sponsors in relation to its $6.3 billion oil refinery in Turkey on the Aegean Sea
Uzbekistan GTL on the construction, development and financing of a $3.6 billion gas to liquids project in the Kashkadarya Region, close to Karshi, in the Republic of Uzbekistan. This project is financed by or under the cover of several export credit agencies, development banks and commercial banks, including China Development Bank, KEXIM and KSure
A joint venture among Korean Gas Corp (KOGAS), Lotte Chemical, STX Energy, and Uzbekneftegas, on the development of the approximately $3.9 billion Surgil gas to petrochemicals project and the Asian Development Bank, KEXIM, and KSure-led financing thereof; Project Finance International’s “Petrochemical Deal of the Year 2012”, Infrastructure Journal’s “Oil and Gas Deal of the Year 2013”, The American Lawyer’s “Global Finance Deal of the Year: Project Finance (Asia) 2014”, and the largest project financing in Central Asia
Equinor (formerly Statoil) on the sale of its Nigerian subsidiary, including its share in the giant Agbami oil field (Nigeria’s largest deep-water field), to Chappal Energies for a total value of up to $1.2 billion, including a purchase price of $710 million and additional contingent payments; the landmark deal marked Equinor’s complete exit from Nigeria
OCI Global in all aspects of the development, and subsequent $2.35 billion sale, of its equity interests in a clean ammonia project under construction in Beaumont, Texas to Woodside Energy Group
8 Rivers Capital in the development of the Cormorant Clean Energy Project, an ultra-low-carbon ammonia production facility in Port Arthur, Texas, which will be powered by 8 Rivers’ proprietary 8RH2 hydrogen process
Funds managed by Apollo in the $2 billion sale by New Fortress Energy Inc. of 11 LNG infrastructure vessels to a newly formed venture owned approximately 80% by Apollo funds and 20% by NFE
