Vinson & Elkins' Restructuring & Reorganization Practice Wins 2025 Turnaround Atlas Award

The Global M&A Network has selected Vinson & Elkins as the winner of its 2025 Prepackaged Restructuring of the Year Award (middle market).

The firm was recognized for its representation of KidKraft, Inc., a Dallas-based children’s furniture, swing set, and toy designer and distributor, in a prepackaged Chapter 11 case.

Partners David Meyer, head of the firm’s Restructuring and Reorganization practice, and Lauren Kanzer and Senior Partner Bill Wallander served as lead counsel in the matter.

Vinson & Elkins will be honored at the 17th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards, held in September at the Metropolitan Club of New York. The Turnaround Atlas Awards honor “the best value-creating transactions, outstanding firms, professionals and leaders from the global restructuring, insolvency, and distressed investing communities,” the Global M&A Network said.

Vinson & Elkins’ Restructuring & Reorganization practice represents companies in all aspects of complex corporate restructurings, including out-of-court exchange offers and restructurings, bespoke financings, special situation investments, distressed sales, and in-court proceedings. Vinson & Elkins is ranked among the nation’s leading restructuring firms by Chambers USA: Bankruptcy/Restructuring: The Elite (Nationwide, 2021-25) and The Legal 500 US: Restructuring (Including Bankruptcy): Corporate (2018-25).
