Green Plains Enters Into Agreement to Sell Obion, Tennessee Plant to POET

Vinson & Elkins advised Green Plains, Inc. on its entry into a definitive agreement to sell its Rives, Tennessee ethanol plant for $190 million in cash, inclusive of an estimated $20 million of working capital.
The asset purchase agreement was signed on August 22, 2025, and the transaction is expected to close during the third quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
