Airline Economics Names Demi Hueth a 2025 Top “40 under 40”

Vinson & Elkins counsel Demi Hueth has been selected to Airline Economics’ “40 Under 40” class of 2025, recognizing her as one of the industry’s top young professionals. Partner David Berkery, head of the firm’s Aviation Finance practice, was also honored by the publication as one of the industry’s top mentors.

Hueth was one of only five individuals to receive “Highly Commended” recognition from Airline Economics’ editorial team, which praised the group for “their exceptional contributions and the strength of their endorsements.” A counsel on Vinson & Elkins’ Aviation Finance team, Hueth focuses on corporate, asset-backed, and structured financings, as well as restructurings, joint ventures, and funds finance. She has advised on some of the most complex and innovative aircraft transactions in the market.

As one of Airline Economics’ 2025 mentor honorees, Berkery was praised for exemplifying “the innovation, resilience, and leadership that are driving aviation forward in a time of rapid transformation.” The publication said, adding “the individuals recognised in this issue are not only shaping the future of the industry—they are actively redefining it.” Berkery advises on all aspects of aviation leasing and finance, including portfolio acquisitions, securitizations, joint ventures, M&A, restructurings, and unsecured lending.

Airline Economics is the flagship publication dedicated to the commercial aviation finance and leasing industry and is published by Airline Economics Ltd. The publication first launched its 40 Under 40 list in 2016 to recognize talented executives in aviation leasing and finance. Honorees are selected through a combination of peer nominations, client endorsements, and editorial review.

With more than 40 years of experience in the aviation industry, Vinson & Elkins’ Aviation Finance team advises a broad range of clients, including US and international airlines, regional carriers, private equity and hedge fund investors, financial institutions, and other key market participants.
