Partner Palmina Fava to Present on Anti-Corruption & Anti-Money Laundering Panel at the “2024 Doing Business in Brazil Legal Symposium”

Presented by the Center for Transnational Business and the Law at Georgetown University Law Center, the panel will evaluate matters brought by Brazil’s anti-corruption and anti-money laundering enforcement agencies (e.g., CGU, COAF, MPF and Courts) under Brazil’s Clean Company Act and how recent decisions of the Brazilian Supreme Court (STF) have affected and might affect the settlements signed under such statute.  Additionally, the panel will discuss Brazil’s cooperation with international authorities, notably the U.S. government. The panel also will share the perspectives of Brazilian and multinational companies when facing new policies issued by U.S. authorities, such as the New Safe Harbor Policy on M&A and the FEPA.
