Keith advises clients in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and buyouts, and general corporate control and securities matters. He co-heads the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets practice group.

  • Quantum Energy Partners in its $1 billion equity commitment to LINN Energy to fund future oil and natural gas acquisitions and development on those acquired assets
  • TPG Capital in its $1.8 billion acquisition of natural gas properties in Wyoming’s Jonah field from Encana Corporation
  • Quantum Energy Partners in its joint acquisition with Forum Energy Technologies of Global Tubing, a coiled tubing manufacturer
  • The Conflicts Committee of the Board of Directors of El Paso Pipeline Partners in the $76 billion acquisition by Kinder Morgan Inc. of El Paso Pipeline Partners, Kinder Morgan Pipeline Partners and Kinder Morgan Management

  • TPG Capital in the $979 million acquisition of Ashland Inc.’s global chemical distribution business

  • Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. in a minority investment by BDT Capital Partners
  • TPG Capital in its $1.25 billion group investment in Chesapeake Cleveland-Tonkawa, a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy Corporation
  • Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in its $300 million PIPE purchase of Halcon Resources Corporation common stock in connection with Halcon’s purchase of oil and gas assets in the Williston Basin
  • Crestview Partners in its $100 million commitment to Silver Creek Oil & Gas, an oil and gas exploration and production company
