Biography
Chris counsels clients in a wide variety of transactions in the energy, infrastructure and natural resources industries, with a particular focus on project development and finance and mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes transactions relating to upstream oil and gas, power plants, petrochemical facilities, refineries, pipelines, liquefied natural gas, and mining and metals.
Chris has been resident in the firm’s Middle East offices since September 2003, and has previously been resident in our Texas and Asian offices.

- Represented Merrill Lynch and BSEC – BEMO Securitization SAL in relation to the issuance of $165.67 million Sukuk backed by producing oil and gas properties in the Gulf of Mexico for East Cameron Partners, a Texas-based independent oil and gas exploration and production company; this transaction was named the 2006 “Most Innovative Islamic Finance Deal of the Year,” by Euromoney and the “Best Structured Finance Deal of the Year” and “Best USA Deal of the Year” by Islamic Finance News
- Represented two separate oil and gas companies in connection with the auction and sale of their producing oil and gas assets in Indonesia
- Represented an international oil and gas company in connection with the negotiation of production sharing contracts in Oman and Yemen
