Vivo Energy Is Largest UK-Listed African IPO in Over a Decade Background Decorative Image

Vinson & Elkins advised Helios and Vitol in Vivo Energy’s initial public offering. Vivo Energy shareholders raised £548 million from investors, valuing the company at £1.98 billion. It is the largest UK-listed African IPO since 2005 and largest IPO on London Stock Exchange to date in 2018.

Vivo Energy was created by Helios, Vitol and Shell in 2011 when Shell divested its majority share in its downstream operations in 14 African markets.
