V&E Receives Business Angel Minority Association Diversity Champion: Sponsor of the Year Award
Vinson & Elkins has received Business Angel Minority Association’s (baMa) Diversity Champion: Sponsor of the Year Award, recognizing the firm for its steadfast support of the organization and its dedication to diversity and inclusion.
A national initiative, baMa was formed to create a more inclusive startup ecosystem through early stage investments in minority-led startups or startups targeting minority driven markets.
Partner James Garrett, who has spearheaded pro bono work for baMa, accepted the award on behalf of V&E during the baMa 2021 launch event on March 1, 2021. Senior associate Kate Rainey Willson and associate Olivia Espy Huntington have also provided pro bono legal work for baMa.
